In her free time, outside of school & work demands, Burrell participates in numerous fashion shows to continue her passion for fashion, as well as network.

2021

VCU Homecoming Fashion Show

This garment was draped and constructed with 100% Poly Crepe and 100% Silk Organza. The design details consist of slip stitching, pleats, and other fitting details with a lace up closure at center back and a shiny detailed organza draped around the back of the dress. The garment was inspired by theme Renaissance and was selected for the (VCU) Virginia Commonwealth University Homecoming Fashion Show.

VCU "#Process" Fashion Show (Look#2)

This mix media garment was Patterned and constructed with Ponte Knit, Ribbed Knit, Cotton Twill, and Denim. The design details consist of Zipper placement on beanie hat, front on seam slit on tunic, and color blocking detail on pant with front curve pockets. The garment was inspired by the speculative design concept "Men's Streetwear vs. Formalwear", and was submitted and selected by a jury for the (VCU) Virginia Commonwealth University "#Process" Fashion Show.

VCU "#Process" Fashion Show (Look#1)

This mix media garment was draped, Patterned and constructed with 100% Silk Taffeta,100% Silk Organza, and 100% Cotton Interlock. The design details consist of hand stitched fabric manipulation, technical placements of organza extension and circle placements. The garment was inspired by the speculative design concept "What if Queen Victoria's period of mourning was a moment to be artistically expressive", and was submitted and selected by a jury for the (VCU) Virginia Commonwealth University "#Process" Fashion Show.
